Bereavement

Bereavement is a painful but necessary time after the death of someone significant in a person’s life. It should be taken very seriously because it is an important step in healing from a deep loss.
There are many ways of grieving, none “right” and none “wrong.” Sometimes, perhaps often, we need a little help getting through this difficult time. Fortunately, there are many resources for those in grief.

If you do not know of a church, parish outreach or recognized bereavement organization in a hospital or community center, your best expert resource for literature or referrals is your funeral director. Call him or her for information. They are there for you long after the funeral is over, when shock or numbness dwindles and pain sets in – or when you have concerns or questions.
